Historically, the songs depict the heyday of the Blue Note label in the late 50s and early 60s. These songs represent the music of many jazz greats including John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderly, Freddie Hubbard, Wayne Shorter and Horace Silver. The Blue Note label introduced much of the finest jazz music being recorded, and these classics are perfect for all instruments, and vocalists as well.
